La La La ..

A clever Poppet ? No says Mama....

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Good Morning World... Sun 8th, 7.05, 17.9dg... warm and dry out but low moody clouds sitting on top of the mountains. It is supposed to rain today.. first it has to happen. As it is a Sunday it is decreed that no work will be done, so to get around that I will do silent jobs... Yesterday I bought the grey paint for the outside window, so will paint that today as long as it is not raining, and then use my little battery operated Bosch shears to do the buxus plants, no one will be disturbed by that. I walked miles yesterday in my quest to find a wooden sign to put in my garden... no luck so now will commission a local to create it for me. A good day with so much train time as it enabled me to get on with the panels for the Poppet's Birthday party dress.. am smocking her a little pink number. Back panel finished and front half done, really now just need to do the rose buds inside the diamonds and then sew the dress together. 10 months old yesterday and she is now at the " Let's test Mama " stage!! Morning you wicked little Poppet..... delight of delight it was the zinc based cream so an interesting job to clean her and the carpet. And butter wouldn't melt !!

Ahh the weekend...

“It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”

Good Morning World...Sat 7th, 5.32, 15.3dg. More and more and on and on. Although they say rain tomorrow and Monday... Monday I am supposed to be playing an 18 hole Damen Tournier... I just love playing in the rain... down on my knees asking for some sort of intervention. Yesterday was a tail chaser for most of the day, but they do say the devil finds work for idle hands, so I'm in good order. Tuition, conversation and then upstairs... I think I've cracked it. Gott Sei Dank. Now just need the tech boys for the TV connection and the chippie for a small wooden upright divider at one of the bed heads.. would do it myself but I do not have a saw that rips timber lengthways so I have to get it done, shame as it is an easy job.. relatively. Papers signed for the use of the land for my neighbours.. they are so happy, so I am happy. The ability to give a little something because you can, gives you a nice fuzzy feeling in your heart... So much has been taken from me lately so it is a pleasure to do something like this for no other reason than I can. Was up at Klaudia's old hunting cottage yesterday afternoon looking at the reno project. What started as a little, very old and seriously cute cottage high, on the hill, is now a traditionally beautifully restored hide away. Cost... don't ask!! Traditional tradesmen doing the beautiful work, packing the small uneven spaces between the horizontal logs with moss gathered from the forest. On my return there was a bottle of red wine sitting on the little stool by my front door... no note, no txt, no message.. no idea. Today am taking the 7am train to Dornbirn to look for a sign for my garden, and a couple of associated bits and bobs. Back home for a 4pm tuition. Golf ? No time and it is the one time I should be making the time !!! C'est la Vie !!! 45 on the countdown....

Just saying ....

It's Friday...

For every disciplined effort there is a multiple reward.

Good Morning World... Fri 6th, 6.25, 15.4dg. Twinkling lights up on the ridge line. Looking like another fantastic day, and this late summer weather pattern will carry on until Sunday. Yesterday was a good day for outdoor bits, and as you can see the view from my sun lounger has changed... ran out of battery on the clippers so could not do the buxus... my story!! But they are re-charged ready for today, tomorrow. Tuition at 8 and conversation group at 10, then off to Dornbirn to look through the large home builders store for a wooden sign and to buy paint. Scraped the flaking paint off an blind outdoor window yesterday and the original paint that I had in the garage had dried up.. rats, so off to get more to re-do the window. My neighbour has been working away and has virtually finished the new " boundary " line .. photo to come, after I have tidied up the hedge. The ongoing saga of the Dachboden is just limping on.. it will be sorted but I do not see it being finished until I have an inspiration on how to place the things to please my eye, please the space, and to please the guests for easy use. Conundrum. All in all a pleasing view for me to enjoy from the reclined position, for the effort of yesterday, now just to get the same result upstairs. Happy Friday.. tomorrow is the weekend.
The before and after..

In case you need to know....

Outdoors today

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

Good Morning World... Thurs 5th, 7.16, 2.6dg. Late summer perfection continues, in some respects it is almost better than the super breathless high summer as the mornings have a lovely crispness to them. Yesterday I completed the cellar arrangement for my sewing... Yes !!! Tick. Now I have to sort the Dachboden back to workable style. MBS Tech was here yesterday and has to bring someone back to help him put reception into the Dachboden, this may be an expense to make me draw breath in. Went onto the driving range at 4 to warm up for the Wednesday tournier... There will be no discussion about last night save to sayI wanted a perfect ending and now I've learned that there is no such thing. The bright note at end was I was not the only one to come off course with an "Ohh My God" comment. Tomorrow is another day !!! in the words of the Pro. Just love his optimism. The old lemonade out of lemons springs to mind. No tuition until 4.30 this afternoon so my task today is this furry critter, this time tomorrow it will be back in order.
