Busy Saturday
If winning isn't everything why do they keep score?
Good Morning World...Sun 6th, 6.38, 12,6dg, 15.1ml rain. No skyline lights and a damp road, weather forecast for the next couple of days is wet. Last night I received my first snow forecast email... with no snow forecasted!! A sign that the weather is very definitely on the move. Yesterday was spent delivering masses to the recycling depot, vegetable purchasing and then home to prepare for the afternoons entertainment. Yesterday here in Schruns it was Buratag...
DATE 05.10.2013
BEGINNING 09:00
LOCATION Church Square and star parking, Schruns
Buratag with Sura Kees award
Buratag The Montafon is in the tradition of the legendary cattle fairs that were held in September for centuries in Schruns.
The focus of the farmers market, the idea of the Montafon Alpine and the Sura Kees award. The country hosts youth in established manner, music and carriage rides provide entertainment.
And ... another tip: Do not miss the cattle award at the star parking 10-12 clock!
A meeting of the association Bewusstmontafon, the Wige SchrunsTschagguns and breeders association.
In New Zealand it would be called Show day... here yesterday morning it was a mizzly rainy day which was a shame, but the girls came to town in all their finery... mostly by horse float and trailers. Sura Kees is a specialist white curd cheese made here, quite often rolled in a paprika dust. That is really the only way for me to describe it.
Yesterday afternoon I watched the All Blacks play the Springboks.. very tricky when you are up on a chair hanging lights on the tree and the crowd start screaming as their team score. It was a game of shifting and swinging score line... was I confident for 80 minutes. no, I had my moments of doubt as the Boks really wanted this in front of home crowd. Good end result in favour of the AB's naturally. Today I have another date with the chair in front of the TV.. this time in Korea for the F1 race. It will be another predictable result I imagine, but will watch all the same. Then I am down in my new sewing room doing the final approach! Hopefully time after all of that to do some lesson prep for next week, as Saturday and Sundays are really the only time to get the week sorted without a rush.
Happy Sunday.
