#TidyHouseTidyMind

Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
Good Morning Saturday... 31st, 6.15, 8.5dg, 1.8ml rain, forecasting clear sunny skies.  Traditionally one says "Thank God it's Friday" All I can say is "Thank God it's Saturday" Yesterday was a test of my co-ordination skills and stamina.. it was truly a revolving door day with back to back incomings, one lot putting on shoes as the next lot taking shoes off... what was that all about ? And now I have agreed to do a Saturday tuition... after I get back from an early morning appointment a the hairdressers!! My only comment about it is, hopefully the sun does as the forecast says and shines brightly so I can do my best impression of a starfish on the sun lounger to get some heat in my bones. Yesterday was so cold I gave up and lit the fire at 11.00. Perfect. Friends departed early yesterday direction Zurich for an overnighter.. it was fantastic to see them and have time together  Last day of May... the year is flying by.. this weekend it is head down getting all the photography sorted to take with me to England on Thursday / Friday. I have decided to dismantle many of Paulii's bits and collections in the house and pop them into auction in England. Hopefully it can be organised. Is what they say true.." Tidy House, Tidy Mind " ? So, today is not mine but tomorrow will be ... Happy weekend

#LongDayAhead

You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss
the floor.
Good Morning to Friday...30th, 6.04, 11.5dg, 0.3ml rain and just wet outside.. that lovely sort of rain that is just enough to be a nuisance but no wet value. Forecasting a showery cool sort of day brightening to a sunny weekend. Yesterday was a day spent doing tuition prep.... thank goodness I had the presence of mind to do so, as I would certainly not be doing any today and my first little is coming at 9.00 as it is a Fenster tag for the schools so early start for him and me. My New Zealand lovlies arrived around 17.00 armed with a bottle of fizz, as you do... perfect timing for a catch up before we headed out for dinner. We had a lovely evening at the Litz Stöbli... the first photo was pre dinner and orderly, the second nearing the end of the night. Simon, our resident Welsh golf pro arrived at the bar in the Litz so he joined us with his glass... never good, never. Let's go to the Einbahn on the way home he says...OK, Gosh then he suggested we go down to the dance bar ???? Eyes on stalks over that suggestion, obviously we called it a night. Two walked back to the house and Bonny and Nevey decided they would go up to say hello to Paulii, so we did a midnight raid on the Friedhof. Consequently, today I could be considered to be a tad fragile, and I have a full day of tuition. Ekkk!! The test will be to see if the coffee can work its magic, I am already having my doubts. Oh dear, but it was so much fun.  Onwards and upwards, I feel it will be a long day.

#CrazyButGood

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style” Maya Angelou
Good Morning to Thursday... 29th, 5.42, 11.7dg. forecasting a showery day... shame. We need some sunny days and good temps to bring a nice heat inside the house. I am all for good insulation until it keeps the house so cold when the heating is off !! Yesterday was yesterday, thank goodness it is now Thursday. Crazy busy started at 9.00 then it was a constant hourly turnaround until the break of an hour from one littles tuition until the Wednesday girls arrived at 16.00. Quick trip into the village... ooohh I love my bike... and then back to the front door to greet the girls who were armed with a bottle of bubbles and a beautiful plate of mini sweet delights. One was celebrating a birthday and as it now seems to be the custom with the group, we push yet another boat out!! I know I said yesterday that I would definitely not have a session with them but as I am a female I have the luxury of being able to change my mind on a whim without explanation... So ...We all went up to a local bar afterwards and I wandered home around 20.00 Not a bad effort, and in little kitten heels!! Thank goodness my physio does not drive down my street!! One of my seniors had her English exam yesterday and as per normal, what the students think the teacher is going to put in the paper never eventuates... I got a txt msg from her at 10.00 with a sad description and a series of V unhappy faces. As her Mama said.. she panics unnecessarily and will have done well. Today Austria is shut...Christie Himmelfahrt feiertag... Ascension. This is not a happy face. Today I had organised to achieve so much for me as it is a day free from all tuition and conversation requirements. Day lost, wasted, v miffy.
Today I have a treat coming to my door... some fabbo friends with two others are coming for the night.  Tomorrow will be a bit of a nightmare scramble with my first little's tuition at 9.00 followed by a constant stream of conversation and then senior cram tuitions.. With the greatest of respect to the late Maya Angelou she should have also included a jolly good aperitivo in her mission in life statement, then it would read perfectly. Life is crazy, but good.

#BestNotToSayOutloud

There are some gene pools that could use a little chlorine.
Good Morning to Wednesday...28th, 5.43, 10.4dg, 11.4ml rain in the last 24hrs. It is a totally uninspiring day looking out the window, but they are promising broken cloud clearing to a sunny day this afternoon.... yeah, right! Yesterday was a day conducted in the ducking and diving mode you have to use when you go out three times through the day in the rain. Fun !! Watergymnastiks at 8.15, and by the end of it I was so cold by the time I got home I had to jump into bed... it really took me until 11.00 to feel warm enough to get up. Seriously. I do not think the water is warm enough, but the others are all fine with the temp. Humph.  One of my senior students has her English exam today... I feel quite nervous for her, principally because the English teacher that the Gymnasium employs would be better off in another job. Seriously. She will send me a txt to let me know what she thought of it. English Matura is the next exam I have students prepping for. Roll on school hols. By the time I jumped on my bicyclette at 16.50, direction physio, I was a tired rabbit. Today is Wednesday... tuition starts at 9.00 and goes all day, finishing with my Wednesday conversation girls at 16.00. This evening I will DEFINITELY NOT be having a session with them... I am feeling tired and the day has not even started !! Tomorrow I have friends from NZ arriving for the night so I will have to be in good condition for that. Unfortunately I have to go to Dornbirn on the V early train for a meeting, but hopefully back home by 14.00 ish in time for their arrival. Another promise to myself... That it will not be a messy night !!!. La la la !!! As for some gene pools and chlorine... well best remain unsaid, but yes.

#busy

Good Morning to Tuesday...27th, 5.55, 12.5dg, 4.0ml rain, the terrasse is wet, the roads sound sloshy, and forecast is for a wet day. Yesterday was a busy morning with a free afternoon... I cancelled the little's tuition at 15.30 as one was sick with hay fever and the programme needs them to be together so they keep up together. Perfect, it is amazing the amount of work you can achieve with a spare afternoon !! Front door and steps washed down and planters changed over, all the winter scheisse washed away. I took the bicycle into town in the morning before conversation, and then took another trip out to the Lidl... fantastic being back on my bike... did have to hang the leg occasionally but hey... riding !! Today is Tuesday, normally a day to do things for me... 8.15 watergymnastiks, then a 14.00 exam cram and a 17.00 physio... things I really want to do not able to be done this week. I really need a quickie into Bludenz to prepare for the incoming on Thursday, but there is just not the time. Best bet is to dine out.

#justresting

Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how popular it remains?
Good Morning to Monday... 26th, 5.56, 12.4dg, forecasting sun with a little high cloud, incoming rain all day tomorrow. Yesterday I treated myself to a very slow and indulgent day, no rush, no stress, no timetable..sort of!! A long days shopping certainly takes its toll. My only requirement was to be present and correct at 15.00 for an English exam cram. Had put the F1 on record as Monaco is normally filled with dramas and watched playback later.. as predicted, without all the shenanigans from quali, the race was littered with yellow flags and safety cars. Good win, all the better for proving your team mate a moron. No conspiracy just sour grapes. Only my opinion.  Today is Monday and a full day in the diary, and with extra students squeezed in amongst the Monday regulars, even my day off has exam tuition factored into it !! This is a busy week and I also have New Zealand friends, with friends, arriving for an overnighter in amongst their tour of Europe. They are coming down from Wien and the Salzkammergut lakes to visit Schruns...hopefully this lovely summer weather continues and it will be perfect.

#hardcore #Milan #girlsdayout

Well, yesterday was a total waste of makeup.
Good Morning to Sunday...25th, 7.07, 12.0dg, forecasting some high broken cloud clearing to sun. As it is a Sunday it should be a chill out day, so far so good. F1 GP from Monaco this afternoon and stupidly I have also agreed to a tuition... exam cramming!! Yesterday was an extreme day. How crazy is the human mind.. alarm set for orderly wake up at 3.15, good time for leisurely coffee and yoghurt then shower. 2am lying in bed wide awake. Cancel alarm and get up after giving up. Jeez that was a long day for what ??? Pick up at 4.20, punctual, and collect others then off we go. Bus stopped in Bellinzona for breakfast and you know whats. In Milan by 10.00. Five women, one who knows Milan like the back of her hand. Plans sorted over breakfast stop and so we head off with strict instructions from the bus driver he is leaving at 17.00 punctually. No questions!! Problem is when you get into the shops and are given a time frame it becomes impossible to shop.. really. 30 mins in a three level clothing shop.. I ask you !!! I so do not do shopping under time pressure. Upshot was nothing tried on or purchased. Fab aperitivo before we headed off to lunch.. you have to admire the way Italians socialise. When you drink, you eat.. I was brought up in the same school. The nibbles they offer when you stand at bar with your glass of bubbles is quite something. It is a pity the rest of the world do not adopt the same idea. Lunch had at a lovely outdoor restaurant just off the main area in brilliant sunshine and very warm temps. Sadly will not go back there. The others enjoyed theirs. A little outlet shopping but nothing to fit or please me.. must mean my wardrobes are full. :0 I was in search of a stunner for the wedding in NZ in August, but nothing tickled my fancy. So, no clothes, no shoes.. not a single pair, no bag... nix!!! Back to pick up point with 5 mins up our sleeves, and ready to do the return journey. Leg up on the seat next to me so all was well in my little space. Home and into much needed bed by 10.30. Hard core day. Again you ask? No Never.

#shoppingwiththegirls #milan

Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.
Good Morning Friday...23rd, 6.17, 13.4dg, 6.2ml rain overnight, forecasting showery weather today. The damaging storms from Northern Europe are supposedly moving into central Europe today. Yesterday we had an amazing Föhn wind that was carrying dusts from the deserts and the sky was so milky the sun could not work but the temps were fantastic. The last couple of days we have been luxuriating in the 30's. The Föhn was extremely windy, not so usual for Schruns to get a lot of wind, and with all the windows and doors open there is now a fine dust cover over everything... c'est la vie !! Yesterday was spent chilling in the warmth, if that makes sense. A visit from my buddy late afternoon but otherwise a simple please me sort of day. Today is one of revolving door activity starting at 10.00 and finishing at 18.00, adding to the normal Friday diary I have a returning senior student incoming for English Matura exam prep. Today I cover all ages and all abilities. Tomorrow will be a test of my resolve... on the pavement outside the house at 4.20am ready for a days shopping in Milan.... I will say no more, suffice to say I will wear flat shoes and hope that my knee keeps up with the rest of me.

#crazyplans

Everyone makes mistakes. The trick is to make them when nobody looking.
Good Morning to Thursday...22nd, 6.18, 16.9dg, forecasting sun as far as the eye can see. Yesterday was just gorgeous.. brilliant sunshine and wonderfully warm. When I popped into bed last night at 22.45 it was still 20dg outside... delicious. It was a long day starting with an earlier than usual adult tuition and then the day was just a tail chaser from there. My physio has given me permission to increase my bike time to minimum 30 minutes a day, use the running band, but not too fast, but the best bit, I am allowed back on my street bike... yay oh yay. But no inclines. I can live with that. I had an interesting time yesterday afternoon with one of my eight year olds who has decided that because we have so much fun with English he will misbehave... to the point where I removed his reading paper and explained that until he could read properly with his buddy then we would not include him. The conversation then got to the point where I had to ask him if he would like me to ring his Mother and explain to her why I would not have him back unless he came to learn. One feeds off the other and then it is massive disruption, he wanted to be outside to do his English yesterday but it was too hot and bright. Next Wednesday will be interesting. Littles dispatched and incoming Wednesday afternoon girls.. I should have known that a glass of wine after conversation would never be a quickie... it was a full blown dinner with much more than a quickie glass... finishing with port... Port and I do not hold hands nicely and have not done so for many years, so I was offered schnapps... that is even worse for me !!! Home too late and today feeling a tad furry.. correction a bit more than a tad. Thank goodness it is Thursday and I have a clear day to please myself. Final arrangements made last night for our shopping trip to Milan on Saturday... I must be on the pavement Saturday morning at 4.20 am to be uplifted to start the journey... 4.20am. The things girls do!!

Busy, busy

The hardness of butter is directly proportional to the softness of the bread.
Good Morning Wednesday... 21st, 5.38, 10.8dg, forecasting continuing sunshine.  Absolute bliss. Temps by tomorrow supposedly 30dg. Yesterday as it was a free day for me it was on the sun lounger for several hours, catching up on my magazines. Very smiley face. I completed my first water gymnastiks class yesterday with a degree of success.. I was left in no doubt that my upper body would be chatting to me this morning, and it is, but not as badly as I thought. Much of the class is spent bouncing on one and then both legs as you complete the upper body work out so that was not possible for me ... yet!! On my wander home I walked with my next door neighbour's daughter who is visiting from Germany.. her Mother celebrates her 96th Birthday today. I picked some beautiful deep red peonies and bagged some of my home made truffles and took them next door for her... Prosecco time... Hmmm, not my most fav as it is a bit sweet for me but lovely none the less as an impromptu celebration. One hour gone then nipped home to get out in the sun. Later a quick trip into Bludenz to return some unwanted things and back home by 17.00 and onto the bed with a well fat knee, but, hold the front page... yesterday I walked down stairs normally, sort of. Result.!! Today is a hit the ground at full speed day. Super early tuition as I have physio at 12.00. then two littles incoming and after them the Wednesday girls who have arranged a small social gathering for afterwards... Bless them, it is going to be a long day. I will be ready to stop and sit for a while afterwards.

#sunshinetime

We are young only once, after that we need some other excuse.
Good Morning Tuesday... 20th, 6.07, +10.1dg, forecasting sunshine as far as the eye can see, with temps climbing to 30dg by Thursday.. Yessss!!! See I am patient. Yesterday was a lovely early summer day, and did some of the tuitions outside on the terrasse in the warmth. Had a small person staying after the last little left so we cooked pasta together for her, while we waited for the Mama to arrive home. The things I do !!! Last night before supper, as I had a spare pair of hands, we covered the newly planted vegetable garden with bird netting. When I went out yesterday morning to water the newly planted garden one of the bloody neighbourhood cats had been into the garden and trashed it with what were obviously several toilet holes... mood somewhat black. Not on my watch pussy.. do your best now. Today I start my watergymnastiks, early call in the pool for 8.15 in swimming costume... could be an eyebrow raiser. After I have finished the day is mine and at this stage I am thinking a little quiet sonnenbaden on the lounger..  My pic for the day is perfectly suited to all things Moochie.. well, minus the surf board, ohh, and it will be a one piece in the pool this morning, but the rest is sooo me... happy days.

#eatingwell

Let us be grateful to the mirror for revealing to us our appearance only.
Good Morning to Monday...19th, 6.05, +10.9dg, forecasting a week dedicated to the worship of the golden yellow globe...  Brilliant. Well there will be some tiny humpies but only brief if at all... positiveness is my key word Iris.  Yesterday was perfect. Washing on the outside line, doors and windows open bringing some outdoor warmth into the house and that has lifted the temperatures a little... this week will make a huge difference. I started the tubs, achieved two, and then shifted my attention to the back garden ... vegetable garden looking picture perfect now, with parsnips, beans, feld salat and dill all sown in preparation for the summer. Mint lifted and sorted, sort of, as it is a little like horse raddish, almost impossible to control once it gets going in the garden. Herbs lifted, attended to and replanted and wild strawberries given a serious check. The three hazelnut trees I am growing, purely for colour, I then cut back severely as they had gone in search of the sky, and the wood from the hazelnuts has made brilliant peony supports in the flower garden, so all in all a long day with many jobs ticked. Perfect. Today is nose back on the grindstone. Conversation and two lots of tuitions. I am allowed to do three lots of five minutes on my stationery bike, spoilt really, but after the marathon in the garden yesterday I might swerve that today. My leg is not so fit.  Concentrating on eating well this week... so....

#pointlessweekend

Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless.
Good Morning to Sunday...18th, 5.03, +5.4dg, forecasting clouds to start, clearing to a sunny day finishing wet.. That is me sorted for the day. Back home in my cozy little nest.. there is something quite lovely about sitting in your warm bed, with a seriously good cup of coffee.. heaven, or bad habits, who cares, home is good. Geneva was interesting. My choice of accommodation was seriously flawed, seriously, but my fault. On the plus side it was central, full stop. The down bits were a lengthy list but worst is when you have no available WiFi and choose not to incur the indecent roaming charges here in Europe, life becomes a test to find WiFi friendly places that are open at my crazy early hours... hence Starbucks, and you can get an adequate cup of coffee there after 7am weekdays ! We did have sunshine in Geneva for the three days I was there, but the wind was off the scale, and that was challenging for a light weight to cross the bridges over the Rhône in gale force winds. People could have been forgiven for thinking I was inebriated. Meetings done and dusted and a little looking around to see if I needed to indulge. Not necessary as nothing grabbed and shook me in this multi cultural melting pot of language and people. Home last night and the weather here in my absence had obviously been directly from the arctic.. the inside of the house was registering 16.5dg. In simple language freezing. I am hoping that today's sunshine will lift the temperature inside somewhat, and allow me to get some garden work done outside. I have to get the terrasse tubs finished, they have been a WIP for over a month now. To my delight the bundles of wood for next winter were delivered and stacked behind the garage in my absence. Now that is work !!! Happy Sunday.

#choices

If a man goes on a seven-day trip, he’ll pack five days worth of clothes and will wear some things twice; if a woman goes on a seven-day trip she’ll pack 21 outfits because she doesn’t know what she’ll feel like wearing each day.
Good Morning to Thursday, 15th, 4.54, +5.7dg, 12.9ml rain, new snow line yesterday evening when the cloud broke briefly, and they are forecasting sleet this morning with rain for the day. Joy. The forecast for Geneva is for SUNSHINE  SUNSHINE for the three days I am there... now that will be joy oh joy. Yesterday I had the fire lit by 10.00 as I had a long day sitting with tuitions and I was thankful of the warmth. Students in and out and then some of the Wednesday girls who are not on holiday came for a social, not the normal conversation group !! Good idea you ask... not really I say, I have a full on day today and did not get upstairs until 22.00. Last night I had a visit from my neighbour across the road asking me to pop over when the girls had gone... good to my word I did so, only to find her in melt down as her fine husband had chosen a younger, fitter model.. that was an hour and a half at her dining table listening and discussing, without the benefit of any food in my tum after a gin session. Sadly for her at the moment seemingly the world has stopped, but the world still turns and life continues to do one day after another. What a shame, the village is small and it is all on the backdoor step..that will set the town alight. Today, as I did not do the required organising last night I must gather and pack all the important bits needed for Geneva. 9.03 out of Schruns, direction Zurich, then a change in Zurich to Genf, and fine weather, cool temps but sunny. La la la la.... It is not a seven day trip but still a girl must have choices.

#stupido'clock and then #wineo'clock

Snowmen fall from heaven... unassembled.
Good Morning to Wednesday...14th, 5.40, +5.5dg, 10.2 ml rain downstairs and that translated to snow upstairs !!! Snow forecast on the mountains today with rain down here in the village. Back to winter woolies and day time fires. My day yesterday has left me hobbling and in the mood to change my status back to disabled snail rather than sloth. 5 mins on a stationery bike!!! Bloody nora how bad is that, but it may also have something to do with the fact that she used an acupressure tool around the leg... here in Austria you are not allowed to use acupuncture needles only tools to work the pressure points . No comment. My meeting with the valuer went well... snap, that was €450.00 thank you very much, but he did proudly tell me that it will be reimbursed if I list the house with them at a later stage. Bless. Set off direction Feldkirch armed with umbrella for the next appointment... early, so cruised the Tuesday market and found some brunnen kress.. now that did excite me, so bought two plants to put into a windowsill container. I have searched high and low for watercress in the supermarkets to no avail.. it is seemingly not popular here but now it is in the kitchen!!! Come on in summer. Home by 17.45 and first job is lighting the fire. The inside house temps are suffering for having no daily dose of sunshine as am I. Today is full of tuition, then a small social session late this afternoon, followed by a bag pack ready for a quick trip to Geneva, leaving early tomorrow. This will be an interesting trip on several fronts, home Saturday evening ready for a feets up.

#flatoutbusy

Good Morning to Tuesday... 13th, 6.28, +5.4dg, 9.2ml rain and a new snow line to rival winter... unbelievable, and they are forecasting rain sleet and snow on and off all week. Dear God, I know you are busy, but what are you thinking ? Yesterday was an on off day of tuitions punctuated with preparations for today. It was cold and quite miz outside but I managed until 17.00 before I had to light the fire. I have ticked off a lot of little tasks that have been waiting in line for ages... amazing how an imminent meeting can spur you on to do !! Today it is feet on the floor running... all day. Hopefully it will be warmer further down the line in Feldkirch which is my last appointment for the day. My status is still as " Sloth " and momentarily worse after sitting for periods of time. I will be interested to see what the physio has to say... maybe I will be able to get on a bike, under supervision of course !!! When I finally get home for a well earned little something it will be well after 18.00 I am thinking. Tomorrow will be another day like today, but more juggling of the ducks and attending to emails... my inbox is out of control at the moment with all the enquiries that I have sent off that now need controlling.. Gosh, the monster is out of the box... happy Tuesday

#goodbuddies

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
Good Morning to Monday...12th, 5.58, +7.1dg, 8.8ml rain, forecasting another variable Spring day with a bit of everything and not much sun.. it hailed here on the terrasse late yesterday morning and I had the fire going all day. I'm soft !! In fact the whole week is for grotty Spring weather. Yesterday I actually sat down and painted my nails as I watched the Spanish GP, from start to finish ... an indicator of the pace of my day. The rest of the day was spent manoeuvring all my ducks in a row for this week.. it will be a very finely tuned, carefully orchestrated week in order to get everything done the way I am hoping to get it done. My good time buddy is home from her travels and begging me to spend the day away from home shopping and doing a girls lunch... what a shame, I have a full day of tuition. The things a girl has to do to survive. The birds are singing madly outside, an indicator of the season, shame the weather hasn't noticed it !! Happy Monday,

#blessing

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all the brilliant women around the world... Big, little, fat, thin, tall, short, witty, sarcastic, happy, sad, shouty, silent, old, young, fashionista, frump, high heels, flats, trousers, dresses, champagne, beer, salads, fries, black, white, books, TV, good, bad, social, recluse, life of the party, sit in the corner, indoors, outdoors, sports, couch... there are so many things that we can be as a mother and all of us so diverse... probably the one thing you learn very quickly is how to run... and run fast. The memories of Motherhood never end... how blessed we are as Mothers.

#TGIF

Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday.
Good Morning to Friday... 9th, 5.29, +11.9dg, 0.3 ml rain with a damp road, email alert for snow last night and rain all day today. Loving Spring,  Yesterday started slowly and picked up to a brilliant day that allowed us to sit out lake front and eat, drink, talk and be merry. Perfect, good company, good wine, food filled the spot, lots of interesting sights and sunburnt shoulders. Home with a weary leg by 16.45. That is a long lunch ! Today, as it is Friday, conversation, and two tuitions, one to collect from the railway station so looking for a different weather pattern than the one advertised!! Have had to cancel my trip to Vienna, thankfully the Marriott happily cancelled and refunded completely. Christies want me to go to Geneva. That does not please me nearly as much, as I am not such a fan of Switzerland, but I will do as suggested as long as the specialists can see me when I can go... and that is next weekend. I want this done before I fly to London First week June. Pressure from all directions. The chap I have been doing some garden work for has now decided that I have not finished with just weeding and pruning... he now wants to remove his hedge and have me back on tap, so to speak, as there is soooo much to do. Time management may be interesting !!!

#lakesideluncheon #bregenz

The Possible's slow fuse is lit
By the Imagination.

Good Morning to Thursday...8th, 5.32, +7.3dg, 12.1ml overnight... missed the total for yesterday as I had a battery fail on the base station , suffice to say that we had some good downpours on and off through the day, but they are forecasting a sunny day today... Perfect as I am going to Bregenz for a long Italian lakeside lunch, just without the Italian... a New Zealander instead. Fascinating that there are two kiwis living in Schruns / Tschagguns, this tiny corner of the world. Yesterday I lit the fire after my morning tuition left as sitting for so long it is too cool. The day was an opening and shutting the door day, and last ones gone by 18.00. Next week is starting to look a little cramped in the diary and some days will be a very fine line between one appointment and another. Hotel and train booked for Vienna for next Friday for my meeting. That will be a watch this space meeting...Yesterday I tried to extend my trip into London by one day but these cheap tickets have no flexibility. My fault as I did the bookings before I had made all these new plans, but an afternoon in the city will get some thing sorted, the rest I can do with photographs. Sad part of that is it means that there will be no time for personal search, find and buy ....  Today I am going to start a gentle process of getting on my stationary bike. Please note...The emphasis here is on the word gentle and yes I will be wearing my sensible hat. Then it is best bib and tucker in preparation for a girls lunch... Happy days.

Wednesday, 7 May 2014

An ordinary day.

The sun shines different ways in summer and winter. We shine different ways in the seasons of our lives.
Good Morning to Wednesday... 7th, 5.55, +2.3dg, dry road but moisture on the glass roof of the terrasse, forecasting drizzle turning to thundery showers later. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, when you get them you realise how you miss them, especially when they have been so scarce the last month. As promised, I completed the garden job and home in time for lunch. Truly satisfying to finish something you had promised to do and not been able to get to .Perfekt. Onto my bed for the enforced leg up after lunch in preparation for the visit to the doctor. Surprisingly he was quite pleasant this visit, and actually interested in how the leg was. I have made the decision to get onto my stationary bike and see how I go, safer than taking the regular bike onto the road, just yet. Like me he is not overly excited by the fact that I am only doing physio once every two weeks, so I will take charge. Tidied up outside in preparation for a visit from someone I want to impress next week.... in all reality it needed a little attention. Today I have a 2 hr tuition with an adult this morning and then two incoming littles followed by the Wednesday girls. Then time to lock the door. Tomorrow is a day for girls who do lunch hopefully in the sunshine!!
