Cute, cute, cute

Waiting game..

“What I like doing best is Nothing."
"How do you do Nothing," asked Pooh after he had wondered for a long time.
"Well, it's when people call out at you just as you're going off to do it, 'What are you going to do, Christopher Robin?' and you say, 'Oh, Nothing,' and then you go and do it.
"Oh!" said Pooh.”

Good Morning World... Wed 4th, 10.06, 18.8 dg, Sie sagen, blauen Himmel und keine Wolken heute ... perfekte Spätsommerwetter. Yesterday was spent running up and down the stairwells.. gosh talk about cheap fitness work. Can't shift the sewing cabinet until I find a man.. it is way too heavy for me, or even for two of me... one of the few times I need a man !!! All the capable neighbourhood men are either at work or away from house, waiting waiting... Test of a girl's patience, so other work in hand while I wait. The complete shift around in the cellar almost complete in order to set the sewing up in the laundry. Never again will I give in to a brain wave. Early morning tuition this morning, we are now working on talking in past tense so she doesn't get into tangles when she does her oral exam. Now I have the day in front of me to wait. Electrical tech incoming at 13.00 to put cables into the Dachboden for a TV... yes Vicki I hear you, but was told that it is a good idea.. as my life seems dedicated to pleasing those I ask to pay to come here then so I must. Hopefully I will get out to do buxus and topiary trimming. Boiled water put on weeds out by garage as do not like the pesticides and herbicides these days. Next job on list in preparation for October is to tickle up the Wagenweg hedge.. the Gemeinde are quick to pounce on you if it is furry as it hinders the footpath ploughs.. and without a shadow of a doubt Autumn is very definitely here. Relented and switched on the boiler two days ago but adjusted the timer clock so it is only back ground heat for a couple of hours in the evenings. Wednesday afternoon Tournier today.. another test of my character, and have signed the board for the Damen Tournier on Monday.. found out last night at training that it is 18 holes... Holy Cow.. I will most deffo have a " water bottle " with me. So today a gorgeous late summer day with temps by Friday going to 30.. smiley face.

Smiling...

Not smiling...

He who smiles in a crisis has found someone to blame.

Good Morning World ... Tues 3rd, 6.02, 9.1dg. Dark but clear out, good forecast for the next three days. Yesterday was another catalogue of events, some good, some manageable and some just down right frustrating. Today will be an early morning dash into Bludenz by train to do a return and exchange on a defective purchase from yesterday... Shame on you Phillips... then I am going to smile nicely at my neighbour and ask for muscle to help me get two large pieces of heavy furniture down to the cellar. My desire for the perfect guest area has meant a change around in the cellar as I have to shuffle furniture down there to accommodate what I am bring down... puts me in mind of the person renovating an old house... the more walls you take down the more dry rot you find, the more work you have to do. I am asking myself a very obvious question, so there is no need for anyone else to ask it also. Not quite a crisis, but coming close, and as the sole occupant of this Haus no-one else can be the scapegoat. We finished McBeth yesterday and today we move onto Shakespeare himself... covering all aspects as the teacher has form!!! Golf training tonight which will be a welcome break from the frustration of me being a Silly Billy... Happy Tuesday.

Just a thought !!!

New Week... work to do

“A clever person solves a problem. A wise person avoids it.”

Good Morning ... Mon 2nd, 5.52, 12.2dg, 2.2ml rain. Low mist with damp spots on the road. Heavens, what a day yesterday... I mean really, ask yourself, why does a sensible thinking woman decide to change something around when the original concept was working well, just because the area she was confined in for sewing had become a touch cramped. If I had stopped after removing the machines and paraphernalia down several floors all would have been just peachy, but no, in my never ending quest for everything to be just so, I decided to rejig the spare space. I walked away last night and shut the door on the mess at 7pm. Sadly I have to go back up today and sort it out... perhaps without the jaundiced eye that was working yesterday. So for today, a better balance of things that I need to do, and that is several pages of past tense exercises for my student, she re-sits her exam a week today so the pressure is on. Head down bottom up, and quite a bit of sorting out for the requests coming in for the Christmas New Year period. Thank goodness it is not a sunny day. Hopefully clever enough to sort the problem.

New Month... and a day of rest

“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”

Good Morning... September 1st, 6.18,14.8dg, 0.7 rain. I can see the top of the mountain line through a light mist, the roads are a little damp so am thinking today will be an inside day. Yesterday was a day of rest, sort of, even though only a Saturday. Linen done, recycling taken up, bar-b-qued a piece of pork to have with salad, and then on the lounger with my Kindle. When I was in the supermarket yesterday I ran into a friend of a friend who I knew was looking for help in her Ferienwohnung, so I now have a part time job... Smiling Moochie. Question of the week for me is why are people so utterly aghast when I say I want to do cleaning for them? This woman just looked at me yesterday and said " You ? You ? You want a cleaning job ? Do you really want to clean ? " My motto is, no matter what the job is, as long as you do it to the best of your ability then you are succeeding. I am not too proud to do any sort of work and this is Saturday mornings only, starting after I return from New Zealand.. Perfect as I never go up the hill in the weekends. Every little bit helps me bounce from one day to the next and that for me is the priority. And yes.. I do have clothes and shoes that I can wear when cleaning for others !!! but I do wonder what sort of image I must present to the village when the comments are all so similar... wow, you should have heard what Klaudia said to me when I told her, she is quite cross with me 😧 So today, the true day of rest, and I am thinking I will move some furniture around. I do wish that my little piece of NZ that always comes to me May - June were here, it would be nice to bounce some ideas off them. From the Dachboden to the Cellar.. could be an interesting day!! Happy Sunday, and to all the Fathers in the Southern Hemisphere, Happy Father's Day.
