“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”
Good Morning... September 1st, 6.18,14.8dg, 0.7 rain. I can see the top of the mountain line through a light mist, the roads are a little damp so am thinking today will be an inside day. Yesterday was a day of rest, sort of, even though only a Saturday. Linen done, recycling taken up, bar-b-qued a piece of pork to have with salad, and then on the lounger with my Kindle. When I was in the supermarket yesterday I ran into a friend of a friend who I knew was looking for help in her Ferienwohnung, so I now have a part time job... Smiling Moochie. Question of the week for me is why are people so utterly aghast when I say I want to do cleaning for them? This woman just looked at me yesterday and said " You ? You ? You want a cleaning job ? Do you really want to clean ? " My motto is, no matter what the job is, as long as you do it to the best of your ability then you are succeeding. I am not too proud to do any sort of work and this is Saturday mornings only, starting after I return from New Zealand.. Perfect as I never go up the hill in the weekends. Every little bit helps me bounce from one day to the next and that for me is the priority. And yes.. I do have clothes and shoes that I can wear when cleaning for others !!! but I do wonder what sort of image I must present to the village when the comments are all so similar... wow, you should have heard what Klaudia said to me when I told her, she is quite cross with me 😧 So today, the true day of rest, and I am thinking I will move some furniture around. I do wish that my little piece of NZ that always comes to me May - June were here, it would be nice to bounce some ideas off them. From the Dachboden to the Cellar.. could be an interesting day!! Happy Sunday, and to all the Fathers in the Southern Hemisphere, Happy Father's Day.
