So, yesterday I made the decision to try something a little different and hopefully longer lasting than the daily powder to fill the gaps in my thinning and aging eyebrows. After years of over plucking, and trust me they never regain their young glory, I now resort to using eyebrow colour fillers / pencils. I have a whole drawer of this that and the other, all of which do a good, bad and ugly job. Microblading is just a tad too permanent for me at the mo so I decided to test driving the new Maybelline Brow Tattoo. First problem was the directions on the box are minimal, secondly, the shop assistant was as good as useless for any information on the product and what to expect. Bad look Maybelline on a new product release here in NZ. In for a penny, in for a pound, I paid the $24.99, similar price to any eyebrow product available. This morning I applied the gel in a thick layer over my brows. Waited the mandatory 20mins for it to dry, and then, as per instruction peeled it off against the grain of the hair. Perfect colour on the skin, I was very pleased with the end result. Looking in the mirror after my shower and ready to put my makeup on... all the colour had washed off. It may have left a little colour on the eyebrows but not on the skin. Total Fail, Total. What part of Brow Tattoo does that end result equate to??? Unimpressed to say the least on many counts. Would I recommend.. not at all.
