“Darling, when things go wrong in life, you lift your chin, put on a ravishing smile, mix yourself a little cocktail...”
Good Morning Thursday...3rd, 6.16, +10.2dg, forecasting fine with some cloud. I am positioning myself to get the outside work done over the next four days, bearing in mind that any work I do on a Sunday has to be of the Church Mouse variety. I do have to be honest I miss being able to be noisy on any day that suits me as it takes a whole "free" day out of my week when I have to sit and twiddle. Visions of me running around with a screaming chainsaw are not quite correct, but it would be nice to do noisy things, especially as the days are so lovely. Yesterday was a suitably challenging day, starting with mad canape prep for the after 4's, then it was a two and a half hour session with my life experienced girl, we did the butcher, supermarket, and a clothing shop. Will she be English ready... hmmm. No comment. She tells me €20 an hour is way to cheap, she was paying €65 an hour. I say €20 is fine. Littles in the door at 14.00, and another session of one little in tears, twice this time as I gave them a spelling test with two new words and he didn't know how to spell them.. tissues at the ready. I like a little competitive streak in people but when you are 8 it obviously has its problems!! Was I hanging out for a cocktail after the littles left. Mad rush to finish the food prep before the Wednesday girls arrived at 16.00, and then balloon up. What a hilarious time. Finally shut the door at 20.30, the kitchen and dining room looked like a hurricane had hit it, and I did have my concerns about the trips home!! Today it is a free and un-nominated day until 16.00 then blinking physio. She who shall not be named and I are going shopping.. it is Ladies Day in Zimba Park and there is 20% off everything. They have H&M for children in Zimba Park... If I was a good girl I wouldn't go.. life is way too short to be good.
