Good Morning to Friday...4th, 5.38, 13.9dg, forecasting sunny sunny sunny, with proper summer temperatures...today at least. Yesterday was one I have to chalk up to experience.. frustrating bite your tounge and remember your parents taught you it is rude to swear in public, or anywhere for that matter sort of day. I was going to say how much I love A1.. A1 lock your mobile, so when you are travelling around other countries you have to carry two phones as you cannot use other provider's chips. Cute, cunning. I have had a contract with A1 for some time now with my iPhone. Yesterday was my third trip into Bludenz to stand patiently in line on a five person capable business only ever staffed by two.. problem one, as the line is always to the door. Finally my turn arrives and I explain my problem and asked for the phone to be unlocked.. we go through the question and answer process and he grudgingly agrees to look to see if he can...for €50.00... perhaps he is only paid on sales commissions. He then tells me that I obviously did not purchase the phone from A1 as I am not registered in the system. I say I did. He said I didn't. Problem two. I then thank him politely and head off to the Apple shop down the mall... speak to them, again, and the nice young man does a system check on my phone and tells me yes, deffo purchased from A1 as it is registered in the phone. Apparently this is a normal ploy from A1. I head back to A1 armed with print out to join the queue... Problem three. The queue is now twice as long as before, and I have already been standing in line through the morning for over three quarters of an hour. Spit the dummy, walk out, and declare they are a bunch of you know whats. Problem four, living in the Montafon the only provider that gives you a good working signal is A1... I cannot vote with my feet so no choice for this girl then. I left the house on the 8.03 in glorious sunshine and did not get home until 13.45 ... all that time spent trying to get my phone unlocked, unsuccessfully. I have to be honest, I do wonder as to the challenges in my life at times. Yesterday the Silvretta Classic Rally was in Schruns in glorious weather so I walked up to the Church square to watch the cars come in from their days challenge... the cars, the sounds and the smells.. wonderful, and they have three days here in the region with different things to do each day. Today is Friday... TGIF. I have my Friday Conversation girls at 10 and then I am free to do nothing. A little rotisserie on the sun lounger. Happy Friday.
