“Here is Edward Bear, coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head, behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it. And then he feels that perhaps there isn't.”
Good Morning to Saturday...5th, 5.15, 16.7dg, 1.1ml sloshy stuff on the road last night, short and sweet. Forecasting a mixed bag with a bit this, that and the other for the next four or so days, but then we know weather people can be notoriously wrong, so here's hoping. Yesterday was a lovely warm day with a very high cirrus cover so no rotisserie for this girl. I did lie outside and enjoy the warmth after lunch , blissful pussy cat mode until I was disturbed by a man at the door. As he was doing the television and radio licence I had to let him in... what a complete and total gomer, I mean really eye wateringly bad, and me in a towel. Did what was required for him then dressed and set off into town to collect boxes for packing the office, two hours and two glasses of wine later I am home just before the spitty bits start. Totally unexpected and a delightful time spent with the elderly uncle of a friend who died here in Schruns last year. Nice, and it was Friday after all. News from New Zealand where my elderly Mother lives is not good, and things now moving at a very fast pace. I do not arrive in Wanaka until 28th July so hopefully the status quo will remain until I arrive, and then it will be mountains to shift to prepare the next steps for her. I am not so sure there is a lot to recommend old age. Today I am front row seats in the sitting room at Silverstone. F1GP quali today and racing tomorrow... perfect smocking down time. Weather is forecasting dry but it is England so ... My weekend is a simple lazy affair, TV, smocking, dismantling the office further, gathering things in readiness to pack for my trip. No sun so I will not get distracted!!
