Sunday 4th, 5.02, +4.5dg, rain. Forecasting for my mountain, mild with moderate rain (total 16.0mm) on Sat night, Becoming colder with a light covering of snow, mostly falling on Sat night. Freeze-thaw conditions max 5°C on Tue morning, min -9°C on Sun night. I have been lying here in bed listening to the rain in the downpipes for hours... I hope that it is snow at a higher altitude, but with positive degrees I am not so sure. Yesterday it was interesting to check out the lang lauf tracks from the train window... mild weather and rain does them no favours. Shame. The positive side is that my paths are now cleared of all snow and ice, but as yet not the footpaths around the village and further afield. Dornbirn was not a pretty sight with the massive piles of dirty snow around the streets. Today may be a different story. My family of four leave this morning early for the long drive back to the Netherlands, so it is timely for me to get up there early and get the Dachboden sorted before 11.00. No plans for today other than clean and prepare the rooms and then laundry time !! Thank goodness for my Miele rolling iron. I just may go out for lunch... watch this space. Most things ready for the trip to London on Tuesday, last bits of photography waiting for some good natural sunlight inside, and for me to clear the furniture I need to photograph of all things Christmas related and otherwise. I see a wish.
