Friday 2nd, 5.15, -4.5dg forecasting for my mountain heavy rain (total 27.0mm), mainly falling Sat night. Becoming colder with a light covering of snow, mostly falling on Sat night. Freeze-thaw conditions max 5°C on Thu night, min -5°C on Sun afternoon. Hmmm, a little different than the last week. In my experience it is best to wait and look out the window on the day... that is me wearing my positive hat. Outside in the early morning light we have a ground mist, so no idea what the day will bring. Yesterday the groomers put the lang lauf tracks onto the feld around the house. This pixie was too tired to put her cross country skis on and go out on a stunning blue bird day, first since the snow started. After effects of long celebrations and then the guest roll over in the Dachboden... Maybe today. My incoming guests from Holland, a family of four, arrived early and wanted access.. check in is after 15.00. Wearing outside shoes in the house, snow all over the carpets, doors ajar, lights left on... it is minus degrees outside and it is expensive to heat the house... me being miffy but this is not a happy face. Move on Moochie. Yesterday I did a little avalanche control work on the front door balcony and over the Hüslli as the over hangs were quite precarious, but that was all the snow I needed to do , oh yay!! well apart from ice control on the driveway. Today I am hoping the Gemeinde does a Müll collection, Friday is my normal day but I have lost track of the dates .. fingers crossed it needs to go. Next week the world goes back to a normal pattern thankfully. Today is just a day to go to the recycler, get some essentials and then finish up the photography for England. All the measurements done and papers sorted, photos shifted around into a easily accessible computer file, good to go. Doing this has also helped me start the finalisation of what to keep and what to sell, a process, but I need to start this now. If the sun shines today then there a lot of possibilities...Happy days.
