I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
Good Morning World... Mon 6th, 6.04, -0.6dg.. Yay we are in the negatives this morning... due might I say to the beautiful starry night after yesterdays weather. Today is forecast for a cracker. I know I should get excited about neg temps especially and America's temps are so negative they are off the scale.. watched the news last night and they showed the inside of a train carriage completely frozen/frosted over... now that is cold. I hope people are checking on the little olds that live in their neighbourhood... Yesterday for me was blissful... guest checkout, and no-one checking in. The biggest issue was trying to air the cellar laundry and the Dachboden after four young men had been in residence. The laundry, as they dried all their boots, gloves, helmets and jackets each night, and the Dachboden as not all of them availed them selves of the shower. Still smiling for the moment. Dachboden stripped, aired and washing started then it was on my trusty chair for some women's FIS slalom from Bormio. Men on today, but due to lack of snow in Croatia they are also in Bormio.. feet up. The afternoon was spent in the cellar on the ironing machine ... what a fantastic 100 euro spend that was. There is something quite satisfying about completing a large pile of bed linen.. I know.. don't say a thing. I have the week off before new incoming guests, and this week sees the start of the conversation groups so having to switch focus from hosting to English tuition. Smiley face, the calendar for Feb is almost full with guests... next trip to NZ well and truly paid for. I now need the snow Gods to get there S*** in order and deliver. I was thinking this morning as I was making coffee, I haven't had the snow plough out of the garage this winter yet. We have nothing on the ground here in the village, it looks quite strange. Public holiday here today so Austria is on shut down... me, well can never have a shut down so will put the Dachboden back to rights for the next booking and then watch the boys race slalom. AFD yesterday.. no way. Today ? well, no comment. I am still learning .. quite a lot really, and some of that is how to be tough.
