Tuesday 9th, 4.40, +2.4dg, mountain forecasting a dusting of new snow. Temperatures will be below freezing max 0°C on Wed morning, min -7°C on Tue night. Wind will be generally light. Sounds like yesterday in all reality, but I did catch glimpses of the new snow lines and the odd mountain top yesterday. The morning delivered rain in the village so for me it was inside jobs until after an early lunch when I finally got the ladder out and put six sets of lights up on the outside trees...  two sets of nets per tree..big job but no dramas and thankfully the broom from the garage was a massive help to get the nets right up to the top of each tree. Had to buy two new six plug power boards, grrr,  they will not be needed on voyage next year, but a girl needs Christmas lights. The electrical setup is hopefully well protected from rain and snow so we are good to go... the lights turned on yesterday at 15.30, oh yay!! Quick change then I walked up to Tschagguns to go to the Weihnachtsmarkt to see if I could get anything to replace my stolen Santa.. am too nervous to buy anything nice to decorate the front door area so will get a live tree, shock horror, and decorate that out there instead this year. I finally stopped in at Schattula, Gertrud Tschohl has a beautiful shop in the Kreuzgasse in Tschagguns, and the damage I could not do at the Weihnachtsmarkt I did there instead.... wow what stunningly beautiful things she has for the house for Christmas.  I have always collected special things from every place Paulii and I ever went to at Christmas time, so this is one of the last to be added to the European collection. Munich this weekend will be the full stop. Popped across the road to the Löwen Gasthof for a pick me up on such a cold, dark, grey afternoon, met a friend so didn't leave there until after six. A big tick on all counts yesterday. Today as it is Tuesday I have my regulars coming in now at 17.30, and my Wednesday girls are coming at 16.00 today instead of tomorrow, so that leaves me a clear Wednesday for baking as I am certain my little Wednesday tuition is not coming this week... smiley face.
