Out of Necessity - Perhaps

Out of Necessity - Perhaps

23rd.. Smile, it's nearly Christmas.

Today be thankful and think how rich you are. Your family is priceless, your time is gold, your health is wealth.

Good Morning World... Mon 23rd, 5.19, + 3.5dg. We have a pattern of Föhn wind which is disastrous for the snow pack, and they say that will take our temps into double digits tomorrow with incoming rain for a good part of the 25th... Do not have an issue with the rain as long as it is snow up where it is needed. We will see... fingers crossed. Yesterday I was the housekeeper from hell... Starting in the cellar with preparation for all the incoming ski boots and clothing for drying, so mats down and hanging racks sorted by the radiator . ... and FYI all ironing and folding done.  Wine cellar tickled so I can lay hand on things quickly, or indeed a slave for the day can find what is required. Bedroom level dusted and vacuumed and two extra beds created and made. Dachboden vacuumed and tweaked in readiness for 2pm arrival of my family of four from England... hopefully they will be able to fly out today as the weather across England may be a challenge. My family arrive from England tomorrow so the same applies. Today I am bringing the other dining table up from it's hidey hole in the cellar as it will give me time to play with placement and organise the decoration of the table... This I know will be a long slow job and I want to do it when no one is in the house. Rolled and tied all the serviettes yesterday as I watched a little FIS alpine ski racing, so my colour theme will be cream and gold over the whole table. Had to re-do the chocolate ganache truffle balls that the Pixie and I made on Saturday.. me thinks her measurement for the butter was not correct, so the set ganache was rollable but way too soft. We rolled it all into balls on Sat but I decided yesterday it was no good so tipped it all a pot, heated it added cream and butter and back into the fridge. Perfect solution so managed to roll the mix back into balls last night, so the sweet business has shut the doors for the forseeable future. My first job for today before I start the fun of table decoration is to clean the ovens that I sprayed yesterday... I just so love doing that!!! Not. Otherwise all tickety boo in house. Today the celebrations will still be going in Christchurch as my sister was married to a wonderful man in a small intimate at their home. I know it will have been a lovely day.. congratulations to you both.
Smiling...
