“We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.”
Good Morning World... Tues 3rd, 6.20, 8dg and a picture perfect morning over the lake. It will be paddling pool weather today with a high of 26 dg they say. Yesterday the weather clouded over in the morning and I thought that the day would stay cool but as per forecast it was an afternoon stunner. The luncheon has been done and dusted. phew.. and I think with great success, even though it was quite fraught trying to deliver the finished foods from a dolls kitchen. We had a lovely group of girls who happily quaffed champagne and orange juice and hoovered their way through a selection of finger foods. Decision made at 11th hour to leave them seated and offer trays of food around... thank goodness we did. Sadly there was not a line up of walkers out at the front door for the hoped for photo shoot, but there was a selection of walking sticks dotted around the house, that byhome time around 2.30 ish created a bit of a scramble to find the right stick for the right owner... Then we sat down to breathe out. A massive thank you to my wingpersons.. Mel and Vick.. yesterday would never have happened without your massive input. As for my dear little Mother.. well what can one say when she decided to get her ruddy sheepskin duster out at 11am and start to do the dusting 30 mins before balloon goes up. I was thinking heavens, perhaps that could have been done quietly on Saturday and Sunday.. no pressure Mum !! Today is going to be a slow day with not a rushed moment in it. We will walk around to Mum's cook lunch .. marinated chicken and courgettes on sticks then collect the car. Yes we were lifted home last night as we had all been having a few bubbles. Special award of the day has to be given to the Poppet... she was in her high chair for most of the prep and start time then in her bed in snore off mode, then time for the paddling pool. What an angel.
