I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.
Good Morning World...Tues 17th, 6.06, -0.3dg which is really quite warm for the moment. Must be the full moon as it is beautifully bright out the window. Am feeling a little miffy at the mo as I cannot adjust the heating back to where I want it... namely to shut down for the hours that I select on the timer.. Grrr am watching the oil level positively draining out of the tanks. Best laid plans and all and best intentions of those that helped to heat the house for my return, but they have altered settings and now I will have to get them back to unalter them!! Saying that the house is impressively cosy. Yesterday was a winner day in several ways.. A trip to Bludenz with my buddy .. she had an appointment I wanted to get a couple of cooking ingredients and some avocados ... after our Let's go to Hofer for the avos, as that was all we both wanted.. I came out with a television for the Dachboden that was 239 euros but ended up costing me 80 euros.. I am still trying to work it out in amongst all the groceries I bought at the same time. Quick high five in the car and we left at great speed. Walked down to the Lidl after lunch for some super cheap Chateauneuf Du Pape, 6 euros a bottle on special, so another tick on the Christmas table organisation. Am now just waiting for the 25% off bubbles specials pre Christmas to top up the cellar, then only the lamb leg left to buy. Page 14 chocolate made, my brother in law will understand that one!! chocolate cups sorted, today is ganache making day to create truffles, and I will have a little pixie to help as she will make some for her family presents. Off to my new part time job this morning, to discuss what is required, so that we are both comfy with everything. Have the electro boys coming in this week hopefully to give me some new lights under the kitchen cupboards and install cables and such for my new TV upstairs. Pause while I go phew, and then a quiet offering of thanks that there has not been a lot of snow to slow me down this week. The weatherman tells me nothing in the forecast until a little rain perhaps Friday. My plan is to try and get up on the slopes for at least one morning before the Christmas madness hits and then all the tourists and families are up there.. when you live under the mountain you have the luxury of choice!!! My choice is not to battle with the crowds.
Have a look at my Poppity... she has this thing with her tounge when she is with or in water... our little lizard...
