A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ....
a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to
retelling it in her old age....
Good Morning World... Mon 2nd, 5.55, beautiful early morning sky, 7dg expecting 26dg today. The last two days have been spent cooking and creating for the luncheon at Mum's villa for 18 residents and friends.... mostly assembled, rolled, part cooked and ready to finish and plate. Hopefully my idea of suitable finger food for 80 something year olds is a success. The space will be interesting... I imagine all the walkers will be parked at the front door... could be an interesting photo shoot !!! The weather has been a mixed late spring, early summer bag with fresh snow falling on the higher mountains overnight Friday, but temps are on the rise again. Today we will be able to serve bubbles on the terasse in the sun. Mel, Poppity and I indulged ourselves yesterday with lunch at the Speights Ale House... a break from the kitchen and the stove. Delicious wild rocket, tomato and mozarella salad, to be recommended. Today an early start around to Mum's and then a well deserved pat on the back around 3pm with feet up. Into our last week here in Wanaka, it has been fabulous, so many lovely evenings out with wonderful people, catch up all the way. Thank you Mr and Mrs N for Friday evening, and thank you Bridgy for a brilliant Saturday evening. Definitely in need of a month of detox!! My shift to Christchurch on Saturday will be another blur of social activity with the dance card already filling fast... and the best of all will be a celebration as my sister has just announced her engagement. . Bring on 3pm...
