#BackOnSkis #OhWhatAFeeling #Fantastic
Saturday 5th Jan, 6.00, +3dg, forecasting a high of +8dg mostly fine with a little scattered cloud. We have a moon. The long range is for the whole week mainly fine with periods of light afternoon showers. Yesterday by daybreak we had a clear sky so the decision was made to break out the skis. I have to admit to being very nervous to get back on skis after all the knee issues, but being the good girl I am, I have followed the specialists and physio's instructions to the letter and more. My suitcase had all the necessary drugs if I had problem.... so. Brace on, good to go. We skied only the front side of the mountain and several runs to the Kropfen, last run being a cobweb clearer... fantastic. Back down after a couple of hours which was plenty. Fat knee, but no pain and walking freely. No drugs required. Smiley face. Now my knee just has to get over it, in the nicest possible way ! Today there is no skiing for me as I have a little paid task to do, but I am not a weekend skier as that is when you get a lot of people on the piste that perhaps need ski lessons rather than speed. Today will be time for afternoon langlauf. A good outlook all round. Happy Saturday.
