Friday 19th Jan, 4.50, +2dg, the flags are still, I can see lights on the mountain, but the cloud cover gives no stars. Mixed bag for the next couple of days, but Schruns got off very lightly compared to the snow dumps they had further up country. We have it on the ground once again, but the ground has become sufficiently warm enough that it doesn't stay long. This morning was one of those silly o'clock starts due to my inability to lie in a prone position quietly. My lung capacity has been severly impacted by this cold, but I have a big week ahead so moving quickly forward. James and Michael arrive at 14.00 today from England for a little ski break. It will be interesting as I am truly a fair weather skier and for the incoming week there is snow forecasted. I may take the better alternative and do a couple of runs with them, and then wait for the obligatory apres ski and evening sorties. However it works, they will be back here in Schruns with me and it will be fantastic fun. They are staying "in house" with us .... need I say more. Yesterday I had a quiet wander into the village as I have cabin fever. A little necessity purchases and then a cheeky glass of rose @CafeJosefsplatz where I met more old friends from Ladies week on the Golm. Have I caught up with everyone yet... it must be almost sorted. Tonight we are out on the tiles, I am thinking @Gasthaus zum Kreuz... I have an Australian friend who is celebrating the end of a tricky situation and then heading back to Australia with her children, so we are out to toast the signatures and then celebrate. Join the dots... happy Days.
