#thedaysaregettinglonger #familyholidayfinished #brothers

Friday 26th Jan, 4.30, 0dg, out my window the flags are waving, the stars are out and the groomers are working away on the piste on the Golm. Just a busy old night here in the valley !! Forecasting a good day with a bit of sun and cloud. Yesterday was apparently a wonderful day on snow although the light went flat by middle day. I was busy yesterday seeing my two boys off from Bludenz and then retailing. I have this brother... James... He is 13 months older than me and we have always had a special relationship. He is really really lovely and I do love him, but yesterday he tested me beyond the loving sister relationship. Standing on platform 3 having a hug up as you do, they board the Railjet direction Zurich Flughafen. Just as the guard blows the whistle to lock doors and leave his dear wee head pops out the door shouting Mary Jane I have left my backpack on the train from Schruns. I stand there gaping like a goldfish out of water. Ring Michael and ask if he is joking ..ummm no. I then have to leg it along the platform, down stairs, along the underground, up stairs, along to platform 11 where the Montafonerbahn is preparing to leave, to jump on board the train and grab his backpack... you know the sort you travel with that holds your wallet, computer, iPad, all your papers and important things !!! My love for my brother had diminished hugely as I was gasping for air. Fit I am not and with a gammy knee this was not a happy rabbit. After much discussion with all concerned, as the next train into Zurich would have been a tight squeeze for me to deliver the bag, we decided to courier the bag into England. Fingers crossed the box and contents travel well. When we got on the train in Schruns and he placed his backpack up on the luggage rack I said to him then... No, that is not a good idea, let's not forget the drama we had when you left the two bottles of Veuve on the train on your journey in...Nah nah, I won't forget it... Goodbye James !!! Today is a simple day, I am at the hairdresser. Yay.
