Sunday 21 Jan, 6.00, -1dg. Out my window the flags are bouncing and we have very light snow falling. Forecasting a snowy start to the day, but we all know about changeable weather patterns. The snow plough has only done one pass up the road this morning so overnight was obviously not too bad. It was snowing lightly on us as we walked home from the village last night after dinner. Yesterday was decided , weekend and all, overcast with dodgy light, and possible weather, that we would go up the mountain. Skis for the boys were organised the day before so it was decision and gone. The snow was in beautiful squeaky condition and weekend crowds not too bad... today may be a different story as guest turn around always happens on a Saturday. We covered the mountain and I retired happily around 14.00 and left the boys to do a couple more runs. Last night was dinner in the village @LitzStöbli Hotel Litz**** Brilliant regional cooking and always a fantastic meal. Thankfully we were early as we had no reservation, and grateful the waitress is always so happy to see me. Home for a rowdy game of crib with some seriously suspect scoring. Today we go up en mass. A little group of five for a day of delight on skis. Maybe a lift yodel!!
